The mayor of Auckland is so proud of the place that he arranged to build the tallest building in the southern hemisphere right in the centre of town. The building looks like a giant syringe and has become a bit of an icon. Not only is it the tallest building, it also has the the world's most expensive elevator ride! We couldn't miss the opportunity to get burned. Here's the view. Baa humbug.
