Finally packing up and getting ready to leave .This new journey has been a long time in the planning [this is not something I usually do when I am travelling ]and has had a few problems not least being the first part of the trip to Lhasa to say goodbye to my friends there, has had to be cancelled .Maybe on the later part of the journey I will get there. Just got the ticket to Urumqi for Friday 4th where I will meet up with Cath and fly to Kashgar ,We hope to be able to hit  Kashgar during the weekend market but it really is too early in the trip to be considering buying more carpets . Will have more to add when I am actually on the way

Hi Alison

Didn't know you were in Beijing Emma was there over Easter. She is working for a travel agency in Motueka and all the staff went for the weekend. She travelled Business class and stayed in a five star hotel so no jet lag. Tim has been in hospital for two months. Emma and Andrew are going to build a house in Golden Bay soon and Bridgid is in the 6th form. I'am OK a bit stressed but whats new. Are you going for a tiki tour? Happy Birthday, Cheers and Luv Pam

Hey Alison,

Instead of sending the mail to your Hotmail ID, thought of doing my part to populate your blog. :)

All good at my end ... right now I am in Delhi but will be bk in Ktm in another two weeks ... do you think that we will be able to catch up if you can make it to Ktm?? Or, would you have already left?? Do throw some light on when exactly you will be in Ktm ... it would be great to meet you.

Yes, I am still shuffling between Ktm and Delhi ... working out till now. Let's see how things shape up in the days ahead.

Do respond in my Hotmail Id. I might not remember to check this blog.:)

Cheers,
Bhuwan

Hi Alison,
Yes I thought of you on April 2nd...that's as far as I got though.
Mary C texted me to ask if I had seen your clog...quite bewildering, I thought you must have moved to the Netherlands. When are you going to make it over to us...you are in heavy demand by the looks of things. Have a safe trip. All fine here, we were in US over Easter, called to Denver to see Ann Marie, do you remember her from KTM? Had a brilliant time. Travelled around a lot. We'll be here all summer and plenty of room.
Take care,

Eilis

Hey Alison,

At long last the outlaws have departed...
Lots of irritation on our part but no blood shed.

You've been away for ten days now - hope the blog silence is a reflection of the fun you & Cath are having.

You're probably missing coverage of the Olympic torch - in London and now Paris. Protesters are out in force and it's very lively. The torch is protected by a ring of Chinwahnese security minders who look pretty tough. Whoever said that any publicity is better than none? Don't think that they were a CCP official!

Keep up the good work and let us know about all the fun and games you gals are having!!!

A.x
