    My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited - The Vanishing Kalasha

    The two sexes of the Kalasha tribe, the sole surviving pagan tribe in Pakistan, live in peace and equality and marriage is a decision involving both parties. According to traditions, Kalasha women are required to be quarantined in a rustic room during menstruation or pregnancy. Despite that, the women are still happy to do so singing and sewing their days away. Does this pure bliss stem from the control that a Kalasha woman is able to have over her own destiny?
