Unlike their Muslim compatriots, the pagan Kalasha women are adorned in rainbow colours and sexually liberated. However, known to the outside as "Kafirs" or unbelievers, the Kalasha are also facing increasing pressure from the outside to convert to Islam. With introduction of technology, the younger Kalash generations are also infused with fantasies of a glamourous consuming culture in the outside world. Here we are about to witness yet another indigenous culture being set aside and forgotten in the face of globalization. A sad truth that's being replayed in many parts of the developing world.
