yesterday Rose and I had several adventures - first we went to Charlestown Harbor and visited a museum that had a lot of information about shipping clay and Cornwall history (with cool stuff about the conversion to gas cookers/ovens with a kitchen full of appliances some dating back to the turn of the last century) and shipwrecks including items about Titanic - mixed in with the educational stuff was the occasional motion-activated scene of gin palaces complete with very scruffy-looking drunks and even a day-glo skeleton to keep the kids happy

then in the evening we went to puppy school for 4-month-old Jackson in a village called st mabyn - the class was a riot - about 8 or 9 puppies of various breeds and sizes being led through their paces by their owners and the teacher Julie - Jackson did very well despite his enthusiasm and curiosity about pretty much anything

and we then went back and caught most of East Enders and had a delicious dinner

am realizing that the days remaining on this trip are becoming very limited - i could easily stay on the road another 3 months or so and don't even talk to me about going back to work - eek!

Wow, it looks crazily fun at the puppy school. I guess you are on your way to Brazil or maybe you've arrived. Very sorry to hear about Maggie. The memories of Putney Bridge afternoons came flooding back to me.
Hope your trip is wonderfully exciting, Love M xx

You do realize the turn of the century was less than a decade ago?
