Passport & Plate - Tamago-yaki(japaneese omelette)

Japan | Thursday, March 13, 2014 | 3 photos

Ingredients
-4 full eggs
-2 yolks
-1 spoon of soya souce
-1 spoon of rice vinegar
-basilikum, garlic salt,pepper,
-1/3 spoon of sugar
-sweet paprika

In my variant also bacon (4 slices) to feel the european tradition

How to prepare this recipe
??? the bacon on the hot skillet.
Put in one bowl eggs with yolks and shake it well with spices, soya souce and rice vinegar.
Then be very carefull not to overfry it. The skillet must be hot with a little bit of organic butter. Put the third part of the mix on it, and when it will be ready you should scroll this part with throwel to the edge of the pan.Add cut bacon.Add another third part and do the same again twice. So altogether we will have three layers in one scroll.
One rule is to watch out - the layer of the omelette must be thin and not to stick to our frypan!
All is done - we should at last bring our omelette on the plate, decorate with paprika!
Yummy!

The story behind this recipe
I have a dream of my life to travel to Japan and one day (last year to be certain) I finally came in that land! For me, anime- and japaneese culture lover it was really a paradise! When I was in Kioto, I stayed at the recan (traditional japaneese inn) with traditional breakfast included. For my symbol of Japan were not oningiri, sushi or rice - it was tamago-yaki at the morning! After my trip I realized, that I miss my Japan so much! So I wanted to cook omelette at home in Russia. After a few times of catching the true taste I got it! Now I present it to you, dear judges! It sounds easy, but the taste is really overwhelming - between pancakes and european omelette.
And also I want to add some of my beloved bacon, because this saulty taste is really good for tamago-yaki (don`t know, why japaneese people didn`t realize it yet).
