My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I belong to a small city in India and had very limited view of the world till I joined undergrad school. It was during this time that I worked with a not for profit organization and spent time in a village for 2 months. I stayed with locals and documented their life through my photographs
From that day onwards, there was no looking back. I have traveled to USA, Europe and Asia, clicking pictures and meeting new people. I have made friends from more than 25 countries. I have been to offbeat locations with strangers leaving my inhibitions behind. These experiences have given me an opportunity to understand the life and world around me from a new perspective.
Travel and Photography have become my passion. I am a hard working professional (marketing) and looking forward to work on the photography assignment with the same zeal. I recently started a project - Clickadream.org (under construction) – whose objective is to teach photography to underprivileged kids and give them an opportunity to show life from their unique perspective.
The scholarship will provide me an opportunity to receive mentoring from the best in the field and will be a stepping stone to my dream project.
