As a child, I never responded to the question of what I want as a gift for special occasions. But I remember something that made me forget all the embarrassment I have in me, a camera. Ive had a realization on why I came to like photography.
I am a visual person, I prefer to explain & describe things that way. I also appreciate beauty even when in disguise. When I project something, I want to see the result instantly & real-time without compromising quality. So if asked what object represents me, I say camera. But I never considered photography a profession for I see it as a hobby. Hobby because I dont associate it with money. Photography is my freedom from fear, pressure and expectation. I come from a very conservative family who measures success literally. Recently, I just had a breakthrough of getting their approval on my first paid project and it involved traveling which is a major issue for them. Traveling has always been an exciting mystery for me as freedom for a prisoner. The trip was life-changing which improved me in many indescribable ways.
I believe I have a lot to discover and personally uncover that are worth sharing. So Id like to start by taking one photo at a time.
