There is growing concern that increases in pollution and rise in sea levels will seriously challenge the capability of mangroves to regenerate.

The information centre and boardwalks are located at St Kilda, north of Adelaide South Australia. There is a growing awareness that mangroves are a important part of coastal habitat.

Above ground breathing roots are essential for gas exchange in saturated, non porous soils with low level oxygen.
