The People in This Neighborhood -- After more than two decades, though some Aetas now live in poorly maintained resettlement areas, some chose to return to their homes in the mountains.

The Displacement -- In June 1991, Mt. Pinatubo erupted and forced the Aetas, the indigenous people most affected by its explosion, to flee from the mountains. Here, Aetas until now take a long hot journey to nearby towns either to find new beginnings or to replenish their supplies.
