My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I'm a freelancer living in east China. Modest, studious, patience, careful and perseverance, that's the words I choose to describe myself. I love movie, music, photography and travel.

My love for photography was inspired by my sister, she loves photography too. Every time I saw a beautiful photo, I will admire the photographer behind it and hope I can shoot such a good photo one day. In a sense, this has become my motivation towards better progress.

I like nature photography, I always want to capture the beautiful moments of it - such as sunset, variety of clouds, plants and animals, etc. My skills might not be enough, but I have my own perspective in every photo, which I think is important too. I urgently hope to raise the level of my photography, so I decide to give it a shot.

These photos were shot this summer when I travelled in inner Mongolia. This is not the first time I went there, but the vast prairies and wild beauty still fascinates me. Especially the blue sky and ever-changing clouds, I never shoot enough.

And to my surprise, there is a new addition to the traditional yurts - The giant wind power windmill. There are hundreds of windmills on the prairie, it's very spectacular!

Influence of modern society can be seen in every corner. One of our local drivers played Lady Gaga's songs in the car, and the other collects old-fashioned Leica cameras. Just like elsewhere in China, here is undergoing a profound and dramatic changes, showing a strange and interesting integration of tradition and modern.
