My sister in a traditional Shanxi house which is in a Inner Mongolia museum, She was born in Inner Mongolia, but her ancestors lived in Shanxi province. Since the Ming Dynasty, a lot of Shanxi people fled from famine to Inner Mongolia. Historically, this is called "Migrating West" .
