Goats and Sheep grazing in the lush meadows. The cattle herders move from meadow to meadow until winter sets in. They wait at the foothills of the mountains till the valleys open up next summer.

They lead a tough life high up in the mountains. Seen here is the inside of a makeshift camp. The woman is wearing a huge robe which is worn to keep the body warm. The wooden basket in her hands is called Kangar, which contains an earthen pot with burning coal inside. This basket is carried and held under the robe which keeps them warm .
