4:45AM. As the Sun rises, the contours of the centre volcano are accentuated by the light.

The breathtaking panoramic scene of Gunung Bromo volcano in Indonesia. The time is 4:30AM. I am about to descend into the volcanic valley and enter the crater of the volcano

5:15AM. I am now in the valley and looking across at the volcano. Sulphur from the crater fills the air and is harmful to the lungs. Locals cover their faces, but this does not help.
