Ancient Mariners

It was pitch dark when a hawksbill turtle emerged from the ocean to find a perfect nesting spot on the shore. Sand started flying in all directions and then she entered a sort of trance to lay her hundred-odd eggs. The moon rose when she erased the traces of her sandy womb and the turtle tagging team dropped a box around her.
