"Give our children a hope to grow up to be healthy normal people" is the message that I want to give you with these photos of children in Thuy An orphanage in Vietnam.
Taking street-life photo of people, especially of children is my favorite subject. Reading the wish list for Christmas, I never forget a simple wish to have shampoo and shower cream from 12 years old boy and I urged to go to Thuy An to make a documentary about children's lives here. It was the first times I took picture of handicapped children who are the victims of dioxin. Through this series of children photos, I tried to make you understand not only about their lives, pain, difficulties but also their hopes, spirit and energy in social re-integration.
Personally, photography is my passion because it helps me to draw the way I see the world and it really change my life. After coming back from Thuy An, I made some documentaries about disable children in Thuy An, poor children in small fishing village in Hanoi and shared it on my social network. I was very happy when many people called to share with me their plans to help those children. Thus, I strongly believe that photography makes our life more meaningful and bring us come close together.
I love traveling and I hope to have a chance to go around the world to take picture of people and children. Moreover, I hope to contribute my photos to society and bring a better life not only for me, but also for poor people and children over the world.
