Firstly I'm an aspiring photo journalist, who enjoys and appreciates the art of photography. Photography brings peace of mind, joy, excitement and love into my life. Growing up in Jamaica I've gotten accustomed to the constant threats that breed within an economically unstable environment. Threats such as poverty and crime can be crippling to most but this empowers me to strive forward and express myself through photography. Currently I have taken the plunge into entrepreneurship as a freelance journalist. I started out as a writer for a local bi-monthly Caribbean lifestyle magazine and became obsessed with the artistic power a photo brings to a story. This admiration has led me to independently travel through Jamaica and document the life and times of my country and its people. In the process I've made many mistakes, but no matter the disappointment I will never give up on my goal of becoming a better photographer. Working alongside Mr. Jason Edwards will be very inspirational and insightful as his expertise and professionalism echoes volume through his career as a photographer. Photography has enhanced my life, It connects me with my surroundings, it connects me with history.
