Marocco

During my few days long journey to Marocco, I went to see a small town by the ocean called Essaouira. I always try to look for pictures in less touristic places. I went to the harbor and was so lucky with the weather – it was grey and misty, perfect for the surroundings. I was so happy and amazed by the life at this port – like a whole different world where fish was being taken off the boat, sold and hacked all in the same spot. It was fisherman’s port and market at the same time – so unique and authentic.
But I also wanted to share the sadness I felt when I went to the other point of the town, where the ocean and the beach is a waste dump and place for swimming for the local children.
