Inspiration on this project came from combining my passion for adventure
travel, meeting different people, tasting different foods and making wholesome
films. It’s a great opportunity to document world cultures in transition to a
global culture.
I planned this piece by selecting highlights of the month long journey to showcase
the different countries, people, animals, foods and languages encountered while
traveling with friends. We combed our resources to create unforgettable memories
and touch the lives of people we encountered with our faith, love and resources.
Some of the challenges I faced during production included culture shock,
language barriers and finances to travel. In post-production it was limited
timing to log, and the computer crashing after the edit.
My ambition as a documentary filmmaker is to capture and record different
world cultures in their unadulterated lifestyles, uninfluenced by
globalization. To capture nature and wildlife in its wildest forms before the
greed of mankind converts the Garden of Eden as it is today into a global
concrete jungle: I do this for the sake of future generations that might not
get to experience the beauty of indigenous cultures, simple local games and
methods of living as sons and daughters of the soil.
