In a world such as ours, it would be
an insult to stay in one place and not experience the vast differences
in culture, language, lifestyle, etc. that can be found throughout our
planet. Although many differences can be seen on the surface, the human
experience links us all together and it is up to us to acknowledge the
humanity we find in one another.
Ubuntu: a person with ubuntu
is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel
threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper
self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a
greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or
diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed." - Archbishop
Desmond Tutu
