Hi. I am Ali and I come from India, a land known for its culture, traditions, scenic beauty and its people. My passion for photography brings me to this contest and I hope to win this scholarship.
Many people around the world may not have heard much about my country. There might also be a few who have heard too little to know about my nation. I wish to show them India, and why it’s so special. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and silently expresses more than anything else. I wish to do the same- tell the world the story of India. Developing upon this further, just as a writer expresses his thoughts through his skill of writing, I wish to convey a story through my photography. The story of the world, the story of an event or even the story of an individual.
My love for adventure and travel binds me to photography. For me, exploring different regions and capturing the best moments of the journey has been a priceless possession. I believe that this joy can only be felt and not expressed.
They say an opportunity comes knocking at your door once. I could not have dreamt of a better platform to showcase my skills and make the most of it. If I win this scholarship I would consider myself to be the luckiest person on the planet. It’s not often that you get to hear about individuals following their dreams and exceling in life. The dream of making it big and showcasing my skills through a passion. My dream of making it big in the field of photography seems very close to me now. With this determination I submit this entry.
