Wondering and Wandering I graduated. Now what? Do I live the life I never wanted to live? The one where I move to the city, get a job in a corporate cubicle, and slave away 60 hours a week for $40,000 a year? No thanks. How about 5 years down the road when I settle on a girl I don't truly love, buy the car I don't need, have the marriage that won't last, buy the home I can't afford? No thanks. I want to see things, I want to experience life in every way. This is the only life I've got, I might as well make the most of it and do something I won't foget. So here I am, travelling the world one step at a time. Where I'm going is yet to be decided, how long I'm there is up in the air, but one thing's for sure. Whatever I do, where ever I go, I'm going to be living. You can count on that.

Leaving Listowel for Dingle

IRELAND | Thursday, 25 January 2007 | Views [1165] | Comments [7]

I'm sitting at an Internet Cafe paying an insane 3 Euro an hour fee but I suppose its worth it. I may have to go visit my Bulgarian princess sooner than I thought. Today I board a bus for Tralee and from Tralee I go to Dingle. The Dingle pennisula is supposed to be one of the prettiest places in Ireland. From there I will head to Cork and from Cork to Sligo to meet up with the Norweigan girl. Or maybe not, I have no clue really. We may do the southern tip of Ireland. It's really up to her. Sligo is way up north and I'm already in the south. Who knows, she will be here in a week, I can travel a long way in a week. I may do a quick run through of the south, hitting Dingle, Waterville, Blarney, and Cork. No telling. I love this. I can do whatever I want. Too bad things cost money. I guess freedom isn't free. No worries, I've got plenty to see the British Isles and make it down to Bulgaria. My photo's have finished and I will finish chatting, I've got to find the post office and mail back that phone. Catch ya in wherever I end up,

Alex

p.s. i haven't gotten around to putting my thoughts in any sort of order, sorry.

So good to know you are well. I look at a clock and think,"what time is it in Ireland". Since I am in Ontario I have to think 5 hrs. later.
As you may have guessed by my last note I am living vicarously?{sp} thru you.
Loads of love and prayers.

My dear friend Alex! You are MR.Adventure for sure...i will learn from you and hopefully I’ll lose my fear of traveling all alone! Don't get lonely...Europe is an amazing place...people are friendly and maybe not always as happy as we want to see, but who cares! With your attitude and aura I’m sure you will become anyone's friend!

Miss ya and I’ll keep reading your journals! Be safe and wild!

Ciao bello!

Hey Alex,

Some great shots. Maybe you should do a coffee table book of famous (or infamous) Irish Bars. Bet the Irish Garda have you in some kind of photo file now after having a foreigner go sporting in the IRA bar.
Just remember where you are and don't have too much fun, can mess with your guard, if ya' know wadda mean.
Have fun and take care. Me PAW U

Glad you are feeling better! Your photos are wonderful and the captions even better. Had to mount a map of Ireland on my door w/ pins and highlighting - when people come by now, I just point. Please try to get some photos with you in them. We don't want another repeat of Turkey - no one will ever believe you were there. Why is Jamaica on your "where I've been"?
Love you,
Mom

You know Jamaica's not in Africa, right? I thought you took a couple of geography classes. Maybe your GPS has a virus.
