My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I have always felt a certain feeling when I see a great shot and in recent years I have been having those feelings when I view my own shots and it is driving and inspiring me to enhance my skills. I would love the opportunity to photograph South Africa to learn the skills to create that feeling with each and every shot I take and would love others to feel the same when they view my photographs. I am a reserved individual but have an adventurous spirit and have found that photography is a great way to express myself. This scholarship would be a chance to express myself to a wide audience.
I believe that our own unique experiences and perspectives on the world cause us to interpret images in different ways and I find that a fascinating part of photography; that one image can mean so many things to so many people. I would love my photographic work to provide meaning and to tell amazing stories.
