so still safe and sound here.  have traveled through acouple of the towns where rioting and what not have occured but have not seen much evidence besides an increase in police presence.  we just came from a small town called monodendri and hiked in the "steepest gorge in the world"  very pretty, rusty oak leaves, lichen and moss! and an icy stream.  weather is a bit soggy over here and we are hearing that it is turing that way at home too (yeah for snow!!!!)  now in karpenisi, a town in the mountains in the center of greece, with fir trees!  reminds us of home.   the final stop will be delphi for one more old thing before coming home.  should be interesting to go through athens to get to the airport but dont worry (mum!!!!!) we will be as safe as possible.  already called the embassy and the lady there seemed completely unfazed. love you all see you soon!!!
