My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Matthew Lahoud. I am a Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) graduate.
While impossible to capture in 5 frames, the series offers a transient glimpse at the urban environment and the day-to-day life of the inhabitants of Fez-- while hinting at aspects of modernity, appears to have been largely unchanged for centuries.
The series is my attempt to be an 'unseen observer' - to capture a subject who is totally unaware of my presence, and frame 'in-between' moments in a way that is both aesthetically-pleasing and informative to the viewer. The application of this technique in a professional context with the mentorship of a distinguished photographer is an extremely exciting prospect to me, and would be greatly beneficial to becoming more successful in creative and documentary ambitions.
