The curls of this coloured grass and its contrast against its very green surrounds draw the eye encouraging further examination of relationship with those surrounds.

The pea flowers are a study in contrasts having delicate wing petals but strong centres. The plant uses itself and others for support in gaining height growing to stand proudly beside the track.

This bee was sitting a little way off the path drying his wings is photograph gives the chance to observe him on his stalk of grass without frightening him or causing harm.
