Peaking into the world

A glimpse of Panama

Panama | Friday, July 5, 2013 | 5 photos

I treasure those moments when an outstanding image hits you with unexpected power and leaves you breathless, unsteady on your feet, sore in your heart, inspired or even just that much more curious about our mysterious world. It is also a savouring moment when you have been able to take a photograph from your perspective that shares moments with others in a way that manages to move them or help them see the world in a different way, even a little bit! The visual world has always had a strong hold over me, particularly images relating to people, nature and their interconnections. I'm also an avid traveller, so love to try capture observations of other cultures and fascinating wildlife on my travels. I'm an environmental researcher, but find myself drawn to a more creative entrepreneurial path that could integrate photography and writing. I'd consider an opportunity to develop travel photography skills with a professional mentor an incredibly valuable experience. I believe I am a lateral thinker with a unique way of looking at the world and would love to be able to develop skills to more effectively capture ideas, stories and moments through photographs.
