Bus Drivers hold the most important job in the valley. The villages are far out and connected by roads that are not remotely like the German autobahns. A normal day would see people loading granite slabs, LPG cylinders, wooden columns, and sometimes, even sheep in the busses. The bus driver in this picture is seen patiently waiting for a group of workers unloading construction material from the top of the bus.

Watching the sun set over the Pin River bed can be a very rewarding experience for a patient photographer. On a lucky day, one can spot ibex’s and fox’s grazing on the scanty grass on the riverbed. The cloud formations and the sky colour change by the minute during sunset

The multi-colored landscape in the village of Mudh (seen at the bottom center of the picture – if you peer really hard) in the Pin Valley is caused due to the mineral content in the rocks. The village of Mudh is also the starting point for the Pin-Parvati trek. Here trekkers stock up on supplies and trekking gear before they set out. However, they are all at the mercy of nature, trekkers are known to wait for weeks on end waiting for the weather to clear up before they commence their trek.
