Maybe doing it all in one day was a little optimistic. Eventhough possible, driving thourgh the beauty that is Morton NP I had to stop and destiny had me stop at Bundanoon. What a gem!!! I arrived at a YHA in a beautiful old mansion, pretty garden out front, Tibetan prayer flags at the Veranda...and no one there. :D I had a double bed in a massive dorm. All to meself. What a treat! The peace and quite I wanted, needed,...longed for. Yum yum so nice. The night after the drive I went for a massive walk through the NP ending up at the Glow worms Glen and sat on my own waiting for the dark and the spectacle to begin. I was later joined by another couple so it wasn't all too creepy. And we sat watching the worms (larvae) do their thing and it was like watching the starry skies excpet you are staring at rock knowing that you are watching insect eating :D

On my way back I saw my first fat wombat crossing the street. What a funny cuddly creature! I just wanted to pick it up and give it a good old squeeze. Except it was rather huge and probably quite heavy.

Then the drive up to Sydney. The scenic way. Goodness gracious! That was my ultimate serpentine road driving practice. I am a pro now, and so is Jack. We Rock! It's a scenice route alright! Lush forest up and down the hills...I really did not look forward to getting closer to the city. But it had to be done.

Absolute freakin nightmare.

Never ever ever again will I take my poor little Jack into that city! NEVER! Why I thought itd be alright I do not know. Either way. We made it. I eventually got it all parked up at a different YHA to the one I stayed at thanks to a very friendly manager. Friendlier and more helpful than the guys at Railway Station YHA. (grump!)

Well and the city was what a city is... busy big...nice buildings, yes that Opera house is pretty cool to look at, and so is the bridge. but heck..we got plenty of that in Europe. I hid in a Bikram studio a couple of mornings..and that felt pretty good.

Ate too much, drank too much coffee and just wanted to get out again!
