Jing Jin, China's Abandoned Eco City

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Graffiti advertises the services of local tradesman looking for work in Jing Jin, plastered on a transfer box that sits in the shadow of an abandoned high rise building in the middle of nowhere. The simple messages consist of a job description (eg. 'roof tiler') and a contact phone number. The desolate fields surrounding Jing Jin mirror the emptied ghost town of the city itself.
