Feb 19th, 2008 - 9:41pm - Big Bear, CA. First full day of training. The morning wake up exercise today was shouting our announcement as loud as we could. (8:30am) Then, we played that game 2 lies and a truth... which is where you tell the group 2 truths about yourself, and one lie, and then the group guesses which is true. The funny part here is I kind of messed up and ended up saying 3 truthes. oops. It was really funny to everyone else. I must have been still asleep! Today was really hard - Literally 12 hours of straight practice and memorization. Then, at 9PM when the day is "over" they give us lots of stuff to memorize as our homework before 8:30am the next day. My brain is more than full, throat is sore... falling...a...sleep.
The hardest part of today was when we went on a running announcement. This means we go on a run (we're on top of a snowy mountian by the way)-then stop, and try to make the 2 min announcement again. then run some more and then have to do the announcement again. It's way harder than it sounds. I almost died. I'd like to say my shortness of breath had ALOT to do with the elevation change... but sadly, I'm not sure that's true.
OK- NIGHT
