When we purchased tickets back in March, this trip seemed an eternity away. Now it's just a few days away. Eric and I fly out from MSP to Lima, Peru, on Saturday morning. We're running errands and spending time with friends and family before we go. Eric still has to work, but I've been free as a bird since the first.
I figured I'd give this "travel-blog" thing a try since an account came along with our travel insurance. I'm going to try uploading some pictures before we head out. If all goes well, you'll see me practising with my pack at the top of Timm's Hill (highest elevation in WI) and Leonard on the top of the fridge at my brother Andy's house. This theme of being really high up should continue through our trip. Cross your fingers for weekly updates. I've promised my parents an email at least that often.
