Many of the inhabited islands are privatly owned and the nornmal sole occupants of the islands are caretakers, here seen waiting for their post / supplies delivery for the day. Note the beautiful red Pohutukawa trees in full bloom, a common and prolific sight in the islands and NZ during summer.
