While only fool’s gold, the thought of finding the real thing is what keeps the town going.

Hundreds of homes sit boarded up and rotting as the forest begins to reclaim the land. Much of the property is for sale but no one is buying.

Les Eidem, the mine’s surveyor, begins for his nine-hour shift underground. Miners come from surrounding towns in the hopes they will find a vein of gold. It has been 40 years since the last gold bar was poured in Bralorne, and the miners’ optimism that they will find a new vein is waning.
