This picture describes the relationship of a father and his daughter, of the strength of the father (my dear friend Ben) carrying his younger daughter on top of his shoulders. The composition of which is set against a triangulation of people, placed in twos, with the tip of a windmill barely creeping out of the top of the hill. The windmill creates its own triangle that subtly mirrors that of the human forms around it.

A piece of public art, cutting out of the blanket of snow like a whale fin, made me drawn to this piece as an object of intrigue within a landscape. It was its darkness, its contrast set against the whiteness of the landscape that drew me to take this picture.

Again, working with the number three and the form of a triangulation, this picture was taken on the South Downs, in Sussex, during that same weekend of snow. I was drawn to the balance of colour between that of the sledge and the colour of the dog, of the direction of which each three is looking on the incline of the slope.
