My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Spain | Monday, January 14, 2013 | 5 photos
I was born in Spain but I come from a Pilipino family. I have been working as a violin teacher and as an interpreter for Spanish-Tagalog, but turned toward the visual as I discovered my passion in static image and image in movement. I made a commercial for the Spanish Pirate Party (http://vimeo.com/30922050) that won a Special Mention in the First Festival for Pirate Ads and a short film: “Julien” (http://vimeo.com/25346351). During the last year I worked as an assistant for the travel photographer Alvaro Leiva (www.alvaroleiva.com) with whom I learnt a lot and now I am in the process of making my own personal projects, like the amateur stylish video I shot during my trip to the USA, and a series of portraits I made called “Men”. I love traveling, learning, and art in all its forms: literature, painting, dance... I enjoy the small and simple things in life, like the sun beating down on my skin, a cup of tea, a book, walking in the countryside... but I am also fascinated with the complexity of big cosmopolitan cities, its vibrant nightlife, the chaos... I am visionary, very enthusiastic and I believe in having a positive mind as a way to get over situations and achieve your goals.
