The wonderful thing about landing in LA is walking out into sunshine and warm weather. The public transport is pretty amazing and cheap... a few dollars for us (Bob paid so not sure how much)to travel to Union Station by bus then a few more to go by fast train..'Gold Line' to the station near to Bob's sister, Annette. Luckily Annette had just got home from work & picked us up... giving just enough time to enjoy a starbuck frappachino.
We spent the next 2 nights with Annne, Bob's mum. Got the old car fired up... Bob had left the old Toyota corolla he'd purchased 2 years prior... so we had wheels! Yea... makes LA much more accessable.
Time was spend trying to recover jet lag, catch up sleep, service the car, shop for a few things to prepare for our 8hour trip to Lake Tahoe and a must for Bob... an all famous Hollenbeck Burrito (Spell?) at El Tepeyac in East LA.
Saturday, late morning, we headed to Lake Tahoe in convoy with Annette and Anne. Uneventful trip made more comfortable by AC and a GPS. Arrived at the house situated in the King Beach area on North Lake Tahoe
