A Journey in to Nepal Visiting Nepal has changed my perceptions towards life. The thing taught by that lady with the weight on her back, or the kid with the sword towards the camera, cant be learnt otherwise.

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Nepal | Sunday, January 13, 2013 | 5 photos

I am an artist with a degree in fine arts, working in animation industry for the past 10 years. I use Photography as my medium to explore people, their culture and the landscapes. For me, the process of photography is a conversation between my existence and the existence of the subject. I photograph instinctively whenever I feel connected to the subject. I believe those moments of conversation defines the purpose of my art and photographs are my attempts to convert those moments into a tangible form!

In this process of image making, I constantly come across people who inspire me in their own subtle ways, enriching experiences and each one of them left me a better human being. As a way to show my gratitude, and also to celebrate those people and moments, I am making photographs. I would like to spend the rest of my life in search of more such moments.

Having spent more than 10 years in studying literature, philosophy, painting and photography, I believe now I am ready to quit my job to become a full time photographer. It would be a life changing opportunity for me to work under the guidance of Jason Edwards, to understand the process of documenting and sharing the stories.
