    Promising a picnic lunch and a cooling swim as hikers meet the challenge of the 27km Coast Track, Little Marley is one of many secluded beaches dividing the coastal cliffs that skirt the east of the National Park. But the weather changes rapidly here. Temperamental winds hasten, leaving no trace of the crisp blue autumn sky that shone less than an hour ago. Torrents open up the wide Tasman, churning with speed and vigour catching the hiker by surprise. Time to set camp, there’ll be no swim today by: manhy Views[187] Rivers run from south to north here in the second oldest national park in the world after Yellow Stone. In autumn, along the two day hike of the Coast Track, a freshwater inlet trickles out atop a cliff almost 100 meters above the sea. Water collects in pools washed off the stone’s face depositing within a natural, mineral rich exfoliant. by: manhy Views[192] As though walking through a door, the dense heathland along the Track gives way to an ancient plateau; a sandstone iceberg of pure white floats above the Tasman Sea. The shock contrast stuns and you can't help but exclaim to the sea and sky, Hiding at the ankles of tightly packed acacia and myrtle trees, the delicate Bush Pea dots the northern end of the Coast Track. Flowering occurs progressively along the stem with each blossom less than 1 cm wide. Listed as Vulnerable, it fans its wings to ephemerally gleam the sun’s gold. by: manhy Views[152]
