I believe that an image can allow us to connect to different peoples story’s and there issues. An image is so powerful in the way you can use it to place the spectators where you were. What you were feeling. And your actions. Growing up in Cornwall, one of the poorest counties of Britain. I feel as though I strive to my photography even more, as I want to use it to help make a difference. During college I focused my projects around the industries of Cornwall trying to share to others what needs to be done to help make it grow economically. There is no limitations to photography. And never will be. That is the true beauty to an image, its one simple and poignant moment in time. I believe people in modern day society have lost the main meaning of a photograph. It’s become a photo that never leaves your iPhone. But I know it’s so much more than that, its evidence of reality. Which is why I am going to study photojournalism at Falmouth University next year in hope to progress in the art of storytelling through an image. If I am lucky enough to be selected for this scholarship program, I would take in every aspect and seize every day I was there.
