About macro-mitch
I'm 21 years old and currently about to start my masters project of my conservation biology degree that I have been studying for the past 3 years. Over this period of time I have not only learnt about important issues surrounding conservation of biodiversity and surveying/tracking techniques but have developed an strong passion for the never ending diversity of organisms that exist in our world.
In February, 2014 I decided to take the plunge into a world I've always wanted to be a part of, the world of photography, and as such picked up my first DSLR and a macro lens. Over the past 9 months, I have watched countless hours of photography seminars and tutorials and have honed my skills in wildlife photography. I like to specialize in the world of the small and often overlooked, bringing light to the small features of animals, insects and plants normally looked over by the everyday eye. I would love the opportunity to develop my skills even more so I can one day hope to merge my two worlds of conservation biology and photography into a rewarding career that impacts the global community.
