Over this period of time I have not only learnt about important issues surrounding conservation of biodiversity and surveying/tracking techniques but have developed an strong passion for the never ending diversity of organisms that exist in our world. In February of this year I decided to take the plunge into a world I've always wanted to be a part of, the world of photography, and as such picked up my first DSLR and a macro lens. Over the past 9 months, I have watched countless hours of photography seminars and tutorials and have honed my skills in wildlife photography. I like to specialize in the world of the small and often overlooked, bringing light to the small features of animals, insects and plants normally looked over by the everyday eye. I would love the opportunity to develop my skills even more so I can one day hope to merge my two worlds of conservation biology and photography into a rewarding career that impacts the global community. This gallery demonstrates photos taken as part of a research trip for university. We travelled into a remote forest to survey frog species richness within ponds and swamps.
