Frozen Toes What is it that you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

     I'm staying amidst the rocks of Meteora of James Bond's "For Your Eyes Only" fame.  Spires and domes and amazing masses of conglomerate that are MANY meters high seem unnatural at the edge of this valley.  Monasteries sit on top and are built into the rock.  I choose one of many to explore.  A long stairway perched on the side of a cliff winds its way up to magic!  A net attached to a large hook was once the only way into this ancient wonder.  (I believe this way of entry is still used for 'dignitary' monks).  Bishop's robes laced with golden thread greet me in the museum.  A huge wooden barrel is braced by logs that look to be ages old-protected in the dark room in which it sits.  I walked for many hours today and enjoyed the views and shared quiet contemplation with the monks.
