On Indian roads you stop to be surprised of anything while watching cows, motocycles, cars, people and tuk-tuks all together. The flock of goats blocks the traffic for ten minutes until the shepherd manages to gather and hurry them. Sheep wool is used in production of shawls which mowen sell in the market later on.

Welcome to the land of mountains: Himachal Pradesh. Here is the place where the beauty of nature and ugliness of people’s poverty coexist. If ten years ago men used horses as pack animals only, now enterprising locals try to make them one of the main attractions, organising horse riding tours. The horse-herd leads horses to another village where they start to entertain tourists.

Amin, 46, left his home in neighboring Nepal where the chances to find a job came to naught and tried his luck in India. Following the same route every day, he carries heavy bags full of sugar from the warehouse to the shops. Almost all of his salary Amin sends to his family – they are waiting for his return at home.
