Hybrid Hong Kong

My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

The surge in development has been welcomed by almost everyone, except for one demographic population who have notably been left behind - the elderly. It is a grey tale: in Chinese culture seniority commands the utmost respect, but in many places of Hong Kong from dawn till dusk, 'garbage grandmas' can still be seen to roam the streets trying to eke out a meager living picking up recyclable trash that, like them, has also been left behind by society.
