I was trying to capture the beauty of the lilies that lined the waterways of the Okavango. I picked this one to display because i love that one is taller and therefore higher in the picture and the other is on level with the water. I also love the symmetry of the reflection in the water, as well as the lily pad at the back which adds depth to the picture.
I am a student of Egyptology at Swansea University, I am now coming in to my third year and as much as it is hard going I thoroughly enjoy my degree. I love travel and photography and luckily (at least for me) the two go hand in hand. I am an amateur photographer and I simply enjoy challenging myself to take a 'good' picture, followed by a better one and then hopefully an even better one! Life is all about learning and developing and I love that I am able to learn so much about the world through a lens. I feel that I can appreciate the places I travel even more because I am constantly thinking that would be a good picture, that is beautiful, that is amazing etc etc. Travelling enables you to escape day to day life and immerse yourself into the vast array of cultures, landscapes and natural habitats that our world has to offer. Besides the photography and obsession to see every inch of the world, I love my family and partner as well as my pets. I also love swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. That's about all I can come up with...for now!
