My Scholarship entry - Everyday people in China
China | Monday, November 10, 2014 | 5 photos
Is there a better way to get to know a country but through the people who live there? What do they do for fun, what is important to them, how does their location factor in, family, work, entertainment, worries? I believe that when I travel, I need to answer these questions and many more. I can do this through pictures. China is one country with more history and people than I could have imagined. It seemed so exotic when I was reading and preparing for the trip, however, the people are just like you and me. They have the same values, treasure the same things and strive for similar goals. I like to connect with people in various ways, and I believe that when I take a photo of them, I take a part of them which makes me who I am today. Photos help to make the world a smaller, more intimate and familiar place to be.
