The project was initiated at the end of the 90’s during the economic boom of the post Lebanese civil war years. The ambition: "a reclamation of 60 hectares of land and an uninterrupted 3.5 km extension of the city shoreline, commanding five views of the Mediterranean and the Lebanese mountains".
