OK, first entry - here we go...
It has been several years since I have had a blog. I have tried for an entire lifetime (approaching the quarter century now...eep!) to get into the habit of journalling. I suck at it, big time. As with many things I enthusiastically take up, I'll do it for a day (or two) and then I forget. Something happens and then I get embarrased with how long its been...which makes it longer...which leads to me quietly abandoning the attempt.
However, my Summer of Fun is an EPIC event in the making. This deserves more careful attention than it has been my habit to give.
Thus, this evening, after a frantic time of buying travel insurance, booking hostels across 3 continents and trying to fit together the time puzzle of Japan's high speed train service, I declare my travel log OPEN! Woohoo!
