Yummy Florenza

On a recent trip to Europ we spent an afternoon in Florence. We were only in one area of the city, walking up and down the same streets. The city is known for its gold and leather, neither of which I could afford, so we decided to spend our time experiencing the culinary side of Tuscany. First on the menu: the widely popular Tuscan steak at €45 a piece! The steak was tender and succulent and minimally spiced to bring out the true flavour of the meat. It was well worth the trip! The meal was followed by the Italian must-have gelato and a tomato, mozzarella cheese and basil bruschetta, well, for later.
I adored the old feel of this part of town and the homes right in between the touristy spots as if we were visting the locals themselves. There was washing on the washing lines hanging above our heads and an old lady sitting on her balcony just watching the flocks of tourists wondering around below in amazement of this foreign town, her home.
Another town full of history...but for me, I will always remember the steak!
